Dor Bahadhur Bista Award for Best Graduate Student Paper

Association for Nepal and Himalayan Studies (ANHS) has announced application for Dor Bahadhur Bista Award for Best Graduate Student Paper submitted to ANHS.

ANHS annually awards the fellowship to outstanding research scholars. The criteria in the own words of ANHS is stated as, “whose research focus on the areas of High Asia (Hindu Kush-Karakoram-Himalaya-Tibetan Plateau) that comprise the principal interests of ANHS”.

The winner of the award will be recognized at the South Asian Studies Conference, held each year. The prize of $250 US $ is awarded to honor Mr.Dor Bahadur Bista who is Nepal’s first anthropologist and former president of ANHS predecessor organization,the Nepal Studies Association (NSA).

Submission from all academic disciplines like social science, humanities and arts are accepted. The deadline for application submission is September 15 each year.

The submission consists of an abstract – one paragraph between 200 to 300 words. The final paper should not be more than 8,000 words.
