Asian Development Bank has signaled 4.5 % GDP growth for the current fiscal year, 2012. The increment is result of remittance, tourism and agricultural production.

The GDP (Purchasing Power Parity) is $37.74 billion as estimated in 2011. Purchasing Power Parity gives the relative value of currencies estimating the amount of adjustment needed in exchange rates which makes the country’s currency equivalent with purchasing power of foreign currencies.
